The Linwood Center in Ellicott City has been awarded a $2,000 grant from Target for the center’s Art Initiative.
The new, 36,000-square foot school that opened Aug. 26 for students on the autism spectrum, includes a space allocated for art and music.
This is the second grant the center has received for arts education in the past year. In April, the Mockingbird Foundation awarded Linwood $4,000 for musical instruments. The Mockingbird Foundation is an all-volunteer nonprofit founded by fans of the band Phish.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
