Six Howard County natives selected to Under Armour Underclass Tournament

The Baltimore boys roster for the Under Armour All-America Underclass Lacrosse Tournament was announced Thursday.

Of the 24 players selected, six were Howard County natives.

Mt. Hebron rising junior Casey Dubois was one of two goalies picked for the squad. During his sophomore season, Dubois was second in the county with a 69 save percentage.

A pair of teammates from county champion Howard in rising seniors Marshall McGlone (defense) and Brad Zulick (midfield) will join coach Jimmy Creighton on the roster as well.

Zulick led all midfielders in the county with 53 points on 40 goals and 13 assists. He also netted the team’s winning goal against defending state champion Westminster in the 4A/3A North Section I final.

McGlone scooped up 55 ground balls as a part of the county’s best defense. The Lions averaged less than three goals per county contest.

Centennial’s Kevin Wilson rounded out the Howard County public school selections. A defender, the rising senior earned first-team all-county honors in 2014.

Our Lady of Good Counsel’s Ryan Lynch (Ellicott City) and Loyola Blakefield’s Cole Williams (Marriottsville) were also picked.

The Under Armour Underclass boys and girls tournaments take place July 11-13 at Towson University’s Johnny Unitas Stadium. The Baltimore club will be pitted against teams Washington D.C., Long Island, Philadelphia, New Jersey, New England, South, Midwest, West and Upstate New York.
