Glenelg Country and Chapelgate win again in girls lacrosse

Mallory Pappas, Megan Hooper and Alyssa Arnold each scored twice as Glenelg Country School defeated Seton Keough for the second time this spring. The score of Wednesday’s Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference game was 8-5.

Glenelg Country won the earlier meeting, 15-7.

Heading into a brief Easter break, the Dragons’ league record is 9-3.

Chapelgate totally dominated Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 15-0, in an IAAM C Conference game. Fourteen Chapelgate players scored and a 15th had an assist.

“We played a very well-rounded game today, collecting multiple caused turnovers and interceptions,” said Chapelgate coach Colleen Norton.

The Yellowjackets (7-4 league) were so in control that Mt. Carmel only crossed midfield five times and managed just one shot on goal.
