Howard schools announce 2014 graduation dates

The Howard County Public School System has announced graduation dates for the class of 2014.

The school system typically announces graduation dates later in the spring; this year, the dates were confirmed earlier "to better accommodate parents, students, schools and community members," according to the Wednesday announcement.

The graduation dates are as follows:

Friday, May 23

  • Cedar Lane School — 9:30 a.m.

Tuesday, May 27

  • Oakland Mills High School — Noon
  • Reservoir High School — 4 p.m.
  • Howard High School — 8 p.m.

Wednesday, May 28

  • Wilde Lake High School — Noon
  • Marriotts Ridge High School — 4 p.m.
  • River Hill High School — 8 p.m.

Thursday, May 29

  • Hammond High School — Noon
  • Glenelg High School — 4 p.m.
  • Centennial High School — 8 p.m.

Friday, May 30

  • Atholton High School — 8 a.m.
  • Long Reach High School — Noon
  • Mount Hebron High School — 4 p.m.

All commencement ceremonies will be at Merriweather Post Pavilion, except for Cedar Lane. That ceremony will take place at the Fulton school.
