Congratulations to Grace Kubofcik, who was recently inducted into the Howard County Women Hall of Fame.
Since she moved to Ellicott City with her family in 1969, Kubofcik has served in leadership positions with various county organizations, including Worthington Elementary school PTA, Howard County PTA Council (president), Association of Community Services, Ellicott City Restoration Foundation and the League of Women Voters (president).
In the late 1980's, Kubofcik's outstanding volunteer work brought her to the attention of then County Executive Elizabeth Bobo, who requested she join her administration. While an assistant to the county executive, she established the first county recycling and county agricultural preservation programs.
Over the years, Kubofcik's work in county and state governments coupled with her passion for civic involvement has built a legacy of giving that has inspired many. She continues to serve in local organizations and to provide endless hours of leadership, mentoring and support to women. Well deserved award, Grace!
