Masked gunmen invade N. Laurel home [Howard County Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports. The Howard County Times includes descriptions of perpetrators only when the description makes identification possible.

Decatur Road, 9300 block, 2:21 p.m. Nov. 7. Three masked suspects broke into basement by smashing glass sliding door. One victim assaulted by suspect. Three other victims held at gunpoint. Money and personal property stolen from one victim. Suspects fled through basement. Injured victim taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police believe house was targeted. Investigation continuing.

Ellicott City

Waterloo Road, 5000 block, between 9:30 a.m. and noon Nov. 11. Entry gained to residence through rear door by breaking interior door chain. Minor ransacking in master bedroom. Two laptops and two desk lamps stolen.

Old Columbia Pike, 3700 block, between 8:15 p.m. Nov. 5 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 6. Entry gained to Envy Salon by smashing second-floor rear glass door. Cash stolen from register and cash box.

Elkridge/Jessup

Washington Boulevard, 8800 block 6:28 p.m. Nov. 10. Man with handgun demanded money from at BP gas station. After receiving money from register, man fled toward Comfort Inn.

Hearthside Way, 7200 block, 1 a.m. Nov. 6. Officers conducting checks of construction site observed Dodge Ram leaving the area. Vehicle located on Port Capital Drive. Two people fled on foot toward wooded area. Officers found bed of truck full of copper pipe and wire. Maryland State Police K-9 located vehicle owner Ndidi Chiadikobi Amandi, 32, of Riverdale, who was charged with second-degree and fourth-degree burglary, two counts of theft and two counts of malicious destruction of property.

Savage/North Laurel

Pembrook Woods, 8900 block, 8:42 p.m. Nov. 8. Victim met acquaintance to collect financial debt. After exiting victim's vehicle, acquaintance displayed handgun, demanded victim's cash and cellphone. Victim complied. Acquaintance walked away. Victim returned home and called police. Investigation continuing.

West County

Carrs Mill Road, 15800 block, 12:24 p.m. Nov. 6. Officers dispatched to address for alarm and found exterior garage door unsecured. Inside garage, officers discovered interior door to laundry room kicked open and cabinets in kitchen opened. Jewelry box with costume jewelry stolen.

East Columbia

Windharp Way, 6300 block, 8:43 p.m. Nov. 11. Victim assaulted by three men who took his pants, shoes, cellphone and wallet. No weapon displayed. Victim sustained minor injuries.

Cradlerock Way, 7200 block, 3:02 a.m. Nov. 8. Unknown suspect smashed Shell station garage door window with rock. Individual cigarette packs stolen.

West Columbia

Downwest Ride, 5100 block, Nov. 5. Rear door to residence kicked in. Laptop stolen.
