Howard County's Department of Recreation & Parks unveiled five renovated tennis courts in Centennial Park Tuesday morning, according to a news release.
The five courts, located in the Ellicott City park's west area, had drainage issues and were in need of repair, the release stated.
The courts were initially removed in the beginning of March so the base and drainage system could be replaced using current stormwater management standards.
New asphalt and finishing touches were then installed, and additional landscaping of the area is expected to be completed in the fall.
The courts are open for play starting June 17.
