Leading up to this Thursday’s match involving three of the county’s top four boys teams, Howard and Glenelg kept their undefeated records in tact with tri-match sweeps.

Howard put up 86 points on Monday, taking care of Mt. Hebron (54 points) and Oakland Mills (3). Then on Tuesday, Glenelg compiled 77 points to knock off Wilde Lake (50) and Hammond (18).

The victories improve Howard and Glenelg to 6-0 on the season, creating a three-way tie for first place that also includes Marriotts Ridge (6-0). On Thursday at Fairway Hills, Howard, Glenelg and Atholton (5-1) will square off.

For Howard, three guys fired rounds in the 20s. Sean Crawford led the way with 25 points, followed by Greg Cherry (22) and Steven Park (22).

Glenelg got a match-high 25 points from Young Lee, along with 23 points from Steven Segrist to set the tone for its lopsided victory.
