The Howard boys lacrosse team picked up a pair of wins on Saturday in the Karl Wolf Tournament at Rockburn Park.
The Lions dispatched of Francis Scott Key of Carroll County, 17-1, in the semifinals. Scott Bruner, Cooper Gerus, Cody Ford and John Keohane all scored three goals in the rout.
Ryan Mills was in a giving mood – dishing out five assists, Nolan Dunnigan added two helpers and goalies Ben Judy and Bryan Mauser combined for four saves.
In the championship, Howard was matched up with Patterson Mill – one of the top teams in the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference (UCBAC). The Lions put on another solid performance, doubling up on the Huskies, 10-5.
Keohane (two assists) added another hat trick and Bruner scored twice in the win.
On the day, 10 different Lions (2-0, 4-0) scored a goal and 18 of the 27 total goals were assisted.
Howard returns to action at South Carroll on April 5.
