Glenelg, Atholton win county girls lacrosse games

Glenelg defeated Reservoir, 9-3, Wednesday to open the season with a three-game win streak.

Stephanie Asher led the way with three goals and her teammate Megan Taylor had 10 saves.

Reservoir’s scoring came from Haley Tiller, Alexis Bartley and Leah Monroe.

Atholton 12, Howard 10

Meg Quinn (four goals) and Rachel Foster (five) paced Atholton’s victory over Howard Wednesday afternoon.

Led by Abbey Groft (three) and Maddie Regal (two) seven different Howard players netted shots. The game was Howard’s first of the season, but Lions will make up for lost time. By week’s end, they will have played three consecutive games.
