The Lions continued their dominance in the postseason with another lopsided win over the Bluebirds from Baltimore County. Howard has outscored its three playoff opponents, 53-8, to advance to the regional championship game on Wednesday evening.

Cody Ford had five goals and two assists for the Lions (15-2), while Scott Bruner (4 goals, 3 assists), Nick Striebich (3 goals, 2 assists) and John Travisano (2 goals, 3 assists) all had strong efforts.

“We came out fast today, got on them early and were able to keep a big lead throughout,” Howard coach Jimmy Creighton said.

The fourth-seeded Lions will face No. 10 Bel Air in a rematch of last season’s title game in which the Bobcats downed Howard, 14-8.
