30-second timeout with Kristen Woolschlager, Howard girls lacrosse

Kristen Woolschlager started playing lacrosse in a seventh grade recreational program. She then moved on to Cobra travel (8th grade) and was soon playing with the M&D Lacrosse Club.

At Howard High, Kristen has been a starter at attack since she arrived. She is a high-scoring player (58 goals as a junior) and was named to the all-county first team in 2012. She is now one of the key players for a Lions' team that is one win away from the program's first regional championship.

This is her last year of lacrosse, however.

“In the fall I will be attending the University of Alabama and majoring in Nursing,” she said. “When I first started to explore colleges, lacrosse was a huge factor. After visiting Alabama (which does not have a lacrosse program) I fell in love and knew that it was the school for me. Although I am sad to end my lacrosse career, I am excited to spend my next four years of college at my dream school.”
