Blue Star Memorial Marker Dedication [Pictures]
The Howard County Garden Club hosts a dedication ceremony for a Blue Star Memorial marker, honoring service men and women on Friday, May 17, at 10 a.m., at the Howard County Welcome Center. The Blue Star Memorial Marker Program was started in 1945 by the National Garden Clubs to honor the men and women serving in the Armed Forces during World War II. The program has since been expanded to pay tribute to “All who have served, are serving and will serve.” Read about the dedication here.
