Howard school board seeks Friends of Education nominations

The Howard County Board of Education is seeking nominations for the annual Friends of Education Award.

The award, sponsored by the board, recognizes community members, businesses and organizations that give time and talent in support of public education. The award honors recognizes those who provide innovative or unique contributions that directly support the Howard County Public school system’s goal mission of excellence in teaching and learning, support student achievement and are significant in scope.

Any Howard County resident, organization or business can be nominated. for the award.

Completed nominations should be returned to the board by Feb. 3, and can be sent to the Howard County Department of Education, 10910 Route 108, Ellicott City, 21042.

Nominees and recipients will be notified by March 17. Awards will be presented April 10.
