One hundred and forty characters aren't enough for Howard County Superintendent Renee Foose.
Foose announced Thursday that she has launched a blog to "share my thoughts on topics of interest to students, staff, families and community members. Here, I can share some of my thinking around initiatives and decisions that I believe are in the best interest of our students."
Foose, who is active on Twitter, said in her first blog post that while she enjoys tweeting, "the (140) character limit can be constraining in so many ways. I am always looking for new platforms to reach the HCPSS community and know this blog will fulfill that need."
School system spokeswoman Rebecca Amani-Dove said the blog was launched before the end of school so Foose can stay connected with the community during the summer and into next year.
"She will do her own blog posts and also feature guest bloggers in the school system on timely topics related to education in Howard County," she said in an email.
