Howard schools seek ethics panel member

The Howard County Public School System is seeking to fill a vacancy on its ethics panel.

Members of the ethics panel must be Howard County residents, and are appointed by the Board of Education to serve five-year terms.

The ethics panel oversees the school system’s ethics regulations and advises the board on matters related to conflicts of interest and financial disclosure. The panel also provides advisory opinions to employees on the applicability of the regulations for specific situations.

Residents interested in serving on the ethics panel should send a letter of interest and their resume to Superintendent Renee Foose, Howard County Public School System, 10910 Route 108, Ellicott City, Md., 21042 by August 15.

A complete copy of the ethics regulations can be found at hcpss.org.
