The brainchild of a Maryland native was a winner on Super Bowl Sunday, as the "Doritos Time Machine" commercial created by Raj Suri aired during the first half.
Suri, an Ellicott City native now living in Arizona, created a finalist for the $1 million Super Bowl advertising contest hosted by Doritos. The commercial, directed by Suri's friend Ryan Anderson and starring Anderson's son, aired early in Sunday's game.
It wasn't immediately clear if Suri's ad won the $1 million prize.
Doritos planned to air two commercials: one voted on by the public, and another selected by company executives. The commercial voted on by the public came with the $1 million prize.
