Howard County police have arrested three men for theft after finding three stolen motorcycles in an Elkridge town house.
Assad Alfa, 30, of the 7700 block of Valley Oak Drive in Elkridge, Luis M. Ramos-Vasquez, 21, and Bartholomew Brazoban, 34, both of Silver Spring, were arrested Sept. 26 and were each charged with three counts of theft and three counts of unlawful taking of a motor vehicle.
In the early hours of Sept. 26, a resident of the 7700 block of English Oak Circle in Elkridge called police after he saw several men walking around his motorcycle, according to police. The owner yelled to the men that he was calling the police, and they fled in a silver minivan.
About 25 minutes later, police received a report of a stolen motorcycle from a Prince George's County resident. The victim had installed a GPS device on the motorcycle, which showed it was near Valley Oak Drive, in the vicinity of English Oak Circle.
Officers searched the area and noticed an Acura parked in front of a residence in the 7700 block of Valley Oak Drive that had not been there before, according to police reports. The vehicle's driver, later identified by police as Ramos-Vasquez, matched a description of one of the suspects observed earlier that night on English Oak Circle.
Police searched the vehicle and found a broken GPS tag, which was later identified as the GPS from the stolen motorcycle, according to police.
Officers then searched the town house where the Acura was parked. Inside the garage, they allegedly found a silver minivan. In the house, they found three stolen motorcycles and various vehicle parts, according to police reports.
