Howard County Police are reporting that two Columbia residences and one east Columbia business were burglarized in the past few days.
According to police, the first incident occurred between 12:01 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday at a residence located in the 5400 block of Thunder Hill Road.
Police said the suspect climbed on to the roof of the residence by using a set of stairs located in the rear. Once on the roof, the suspect pried open a skylight to gain access to the kitchen.
Police are reporting two computers and cash stolen from the residence, and said the suspect exited through a kitchen window.
A few hours later at the 9100 block of Red Branch Road, police received a report of a burglary at Patrick's Hair Design in Dorsey's Search.
Police said the suspect smashed the front door with a rock, and stole two checks from the cash register.
On Sunday, Sept. 30, in west Columbia, police received a report of a cat burglary at a residence located in the 10600 block of Quarterstaff Road.
Police said the incident occurred between 12:30 and 7 a.m., and that the suspect gained entry to the home through an unlocked garage door.
A purse was stolen from the kitchen, but was recovered on the lawn between two houses in the neighborhood.
Money was stolen from the purse.
