Two assaulted outside East Columbia gas station

Howard County Police are searching for four teens accused of assaulting and attempting to rob two men outside an East Columbia gas station last week.

According to police, the two men had just left the Exxon store on the 6000 block of Foreland Garth in Long Reach at around 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, when they were approached by two of the teens.

The pair of teens began punching the victims and attempted to reach into the victims' pockets and steal their money, according to police.

The two victims ran behind the station, where two additional teens began throwing rocks at them.

Police said the assault then stopped, and the four teens ran toward the Long Reach Village Center.

A witness reported seeing the four teens congregate near a deli before splitting up in four different directions.

One of the victim's sustained a cut lip, while the other sustained a bloody nose.
