'Targeted' shots fired in Columbia neighborhood

Howard County Police are investigating a report of shots fired in a Columbia neighborhood just after midnight on Monday, Jan. 14, according to the police department's Facebook page. 

Police said they believe the shots, which struck a nearby vehicle, were targeted at a home located in the 5200 block of Candy Root Court. 

No one was injured, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
