Farrall paces Oakland Mills girls lacrosse team to overtime win against Meade

Junior attack/midfielder Sarah Farrall scored six goals as Oakland Mills won its first game of the season. In a non-league contest Monday, the Scorpions needed overtime to defeat Meade, 13-11. Yasmeen Saad added three goals to the winning effort.

Chapelgate 12, FCA 7

Chapelgate pulled away from a 4-3 halftime lead to defeat Northern Maryland Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 12-7.

“At the start of the second half we began winning the draws and connecting on offense,” said Chapelgate coach Colleen Norton.

Chapelgate’s Emma Rufolo led all scorers with five goals. Katherine Cameron and Christina VanWingerden each had two goals for the Yellowjackets.

Gretchen Pabst scored three of FCA’s goals.

The victory moves Chapelgate to 4-0 on the season.
