Elijah Asher Jimenez became the first baby born at Howard County General Hospital in 2013, the hospital announced Wednesday in a news release.
Seven-pound, 2-ounce Elijah was welcomed into the world by Columbia residents Gillian and Jimmy Jimenez at 7:36 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1.
According to the release, Elijah is one of the approximately 90,500 babies born in the hospital since it opened in 1973.
