Columbia couple arrested in tire, rim thefts across Howard County

Howard County police arrested a Columbia couple earlier this month in connection with a dozen theft cases, where they allegedly stole tires and rims off vehicles around the county between June and August.

Thefts occurred in Columbia, Ellicott City, Jessup and Laurel, said Seth Hoffman, a spokesman for the Howard County Police Department.

Deaundre Wallace, 26, was charged with 24 counts of theft and later released on $2,500 bond. Police said they also charged Arooj Wilson, 27, with two counts of theft and conspiracy to commit theft. Wilson was released on $15,000 bail, according to Maryland Judiciary case search.

Police said the men usually left the cars on cinder blocks after stealing the tires and rims.
