Howard Hughes Corporation’s presubmission community meeting on the latter phases of a multi-use pathway that will connect east and west Columbia has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Other Barn, 5851 Robert Oliver Place in Columbia.

The pathway will connect Blandair Park and Howard County General Hospital. A spokesman for the project said the meeting will focus on phase three and four of the project, which would connect a path on South Entrance Road over the Route 29 footbridge and into Blandair Park.

Phase one of the pathway, which includes the area on Little Patuxent Parkway between Broken Land Parkway and South Entrance Road, is under construction and expected to be completed in the spring. Phase two, which connects Broken Land Parkway and the hospital, is still in the county’s approval process, the spokesman said. Construction on that project could begin this summer.

The original meeting, which was scheduled for March 3, was canceled because of snow.
