Ravens Lacrosse Club seeks experienced female players

Lacrosse

Tryouts for the Ravens Lacrosse Club 2016-2020 teams will be held on Sunday, May 11 from 3-5 p.m. at Friends School. Experienced female lacrosse field players and goalies graduating from high school between 2016 and 2020 are eligible. Go to ravenslax.org for details and pre-registration requirements.

Baseball

The regular meeting of "Talkin' Baseball" will take place on Saturday, May 3 at 9 a.m. at Brighton Gardens on Minstrel Way in Columbia. The speaker will be Tim Wendel, who will discuss his book, "High Heat." Call 410-740-1145 for more information.

Soccer

The Soccer Association of Columbia is now registering players for SAC Training Academy Summer Camps scheduled throughout the summer. Players of all abilities, ages 5 to 14 years old, can take part in SAC's new professionally run summer camp. Both full and half day sessions are offered. The Soccer Association of Columbia is now registering players for the Fall 2014/Spring 2015 Recreation season. The league is open to players from ages 6 to 18. Teams meet for eight weeks each season for practices and weekend games.  Players receive an Under Armour jersey, shorts and socks. The Chelsea Lions Boys U-13 Travel Team is looking for three players for the Fall 2014 season. The Lions are the defending BBSL Division champions and play in the A Division. The First Tee of Howard County is now offering golf programming for players ages 7 to 9 years old at three local courses. Sports camps

The Atholton Athletic Boosters will hold a variety of sports camps taught by high school coaches this summer at Atholton High School, for boys and girls grades three through nine.
