Half: 3-0 OM.
Marriotts Ridge 1, Whitman 0 OT
With three minutes left in the first overtime of a scoreless game, Amir Najib played a through pass to a streaking Jeff Kammerer for a breakaway goal that clinched the second win in as many days for the Mustangs.
After missing a similar transition chance just minutes earlier, Kammerer made the most of his shot at redemption. The goal brought the Marriotts Ridge bench spilling onto the field to celebrate what coach Kevin Flynn called a “huge” victory.
“This was big, no question. Whitman, I would say, is one of the best teams we’ve ever played — quality players all over the field,” Flynn said. “We really had to hold them off, but I was really proud of our guys for getting tougher and tougher as the game went on.
“You learn a lot from playing games like this.”

River Hill 4, Catonsville 0
The Hawks completed a sweep of its two games at the Catonsville Tournament, pulling away from host Catonsville in the second half with three scores to build on what was only a one-goal lead at the break.
Jake Turney, Mike Faderin, Addison Testoff and Chris Lee accounted for the goals, while Alec Smith and Mike Heitzmann registered assists.
“I thought we player pretty well today, especially that second half against Catonsville,” River Hill coach Matt Shagogue said. “We were able to open things up a little bit and score in a number of different ways.
“The best thing is we’re getting production from a lot of kids, which is very encouraging heading into our first major test on Tuesday against Reservoir.”
