Howard County girls soccer recap

This season, Howard County girls soccer made its presence known in Maryland, as two teams earned berths in the state semifinals.

In the end, it was River Hill that was crowned victorious with its second straight 3A state title, but many other teams made some serious moves to set themselves up for long-term success.

Hawks’ senior Sheridan Street concluded four years of outstanding play on Nov. 14, when she joined her squad in celebrating back-to-back state championships. Street recorded seven goals in the postseason, and 15 overall.

Not to be forgotten, Marriotts Ridge earned its first 2A South regional championship in school history.

Other top players in the county included Reservoir’s Keri Rager, who had 13 goals and 13 assists, and Centennial’s Anna Mitchell, who notched 11 goals and 18 assists.
