With Centennial’s Shreya Nalubola and Wilde Lake’s David Eisenhauer leading the way, Howard County cross country rose to a new level in 2013. After winning regional and state titles, this crop of young runners is poised to continue its success.

Nalubola collected wins at the Howard County and Doc Jones Invitationals, as well as the Georgetown Classic. The junior then went on to claim the 3A East regional and state titles.

On the boys side, a mixed bag of top runners was headlined by Eisenhauer, who finished second overall in the 3A state championship race. Centennial’s Alec Font and Hutson Baumann, as well as Mt. Hebron’s Ben Weinstein kept the competition fierce as well.
