Through the first two days of the Howard County tennis tournament, defending champion Atholton held a commanding five-point lead over River Hill, 21.5-16.5, heading into the semifinal round.

Due to forecasted rain on Saturday, the semifinal and championship rounds have been postponed until Monday, starting at 2:45 p.m., at the Wilde Lake Tennis Club.

Each top seed — Atholton's George Mao and Matt Sklar (boys doubles), Centennial's Simone Jensen and Megan Mishra (girls doubles), Atholton's Victoria Kogan (girls singles), Reservoir's Biyik Akinshemoyin (boys singles) and Atholton's Jenna Sweet and Scott Lee (mixed doubles) — advanced to the semifinal round.
