Ellicott City man pleads guilty to series of gropings

An Ellicott City man pleaded guilty in Howard County Circuit Court Tuesday to charges in connection with three separate groping incidents that occurred sporadically throughout Howard County over a 12-month span.

Jeremy Kaho Ng, 26, of the 10000 block of Whitworth Way, pleaded guilty to a second-degree assault charge and two counts of fourth-degree sex offense in front of Judge Lenore Gelfman.

Ng, who remains free on bond, will be sentenced Aug. 8.

Ng was arrested Jan. 6 after allegedly grabbing a woman between her legs as she walked into her apartment in the 5000 block of Columbia Road, Howard County police said.

After arresting Ng, police said they looked at other incidents for similarities.

Police tied Ng to another case in the parking lot of the Best Buy store in Columbia on May 23, where a man groped a victim under her skirt as she was getting into her car, police said.

Another case, from Jan. 10 of 2013, took place in the parking lot at the Mall in Columbia, when another victim reported being groped in a similar way, police said.
