Columbia Association will hold a public meeting on its program to develop a Comprehensive Plan for Serving the Older Adult Community on Wednesday, May 29, between 4:30 and 8 p.m., at the Owen Brown Community Center, 6800 Cradlerock Way.
CA will share the plan's purpose and process, provide some background information and solicit ideas from participants.
The open house will be supplemented by a presentation at 5 and 7 p.m. The presentation will provide an overview of the planning process and goals; highlight demographic trends as well as current CA facilities and programs for older adults; and review preliminary survey and bench marking findings.
The work team is especially interested in understanding what older adults, or those soon to be older adults, would like to see in terms of programs and services that can serve them as they age. The meeting will employ an open house format with several "stations" where participants can get more information on specific topics and also provide their comments and ideas — all at their own pace.
