Howard County to hold info session on Blandair Park interchange

The Howard County Department of Public Works will hold an information session on the proposed intersection of Oakland Mills Road and Route 175 at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10 at Oakland Mills High School, located at 9410 Kilimanjaro Road.

The purpose of the interchange, which will be placed between Thunder Hill Road and Tamar Drive, is to allow easier access to Blandair Park. Currently, park-goers have to travel through residential neighborhoods to access the county-owned park.

The county is calling the information session a "drop in at your convenience session," where staff members will be available to take comments and questions. There is no formal presentation planned for the meeting.

Those who cannot attend can view the designs at the office of Transportation and Special Parks Division, Bureau of Engineering, at 9250 Bendix Road during normal business hours or by appointment.
