Inner Arbor Trust submits plans to Howard Co.

The Inner Arbor Trust submitted its site development plan for Symphony Woods this week to Howard County government's Department of Planning and Zoning, according to Trust President Michael McCall.

McCall said the 122-page site development plan for phase one of Merriweather Park, which proposes building an interactive arts park to include an outdoor amphitheater, a guest services building and other amenities on 16.5 acres of the downtown parkland, was submitted Tuesday, Feb. 4.

The plan is scheduled to be presented to the Design Advisory Panel, a seven-member board that "encourages excellence in the project’s architecture and site design," on Feb. 26.

McCall said he is "pleased" to submit the report and that the Trust is "looking forward" to the meeting, which is the first public gathering since detailed designs of the highly anticipated plan were presented in December.
