Gunman tries to rob Jessup hotels [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports. Descriptions of perpetrators are included only when the description makes identification possible.

Elkridge/Jessup

Washington Boulevard, 7300 block, 3:59 p.m., July 18. Tires stolen from shed.

South Hanover Road, 6300 block, 5:04 a.m., July 19. Entry gained to Wilson and Smith Recycling by breaking front door glass. Paper shredder stolen.

Red Barn Way, 7900 block, 9:30 p.m., July 20. Victim struck with unknown object. Phone, wallet stolen.

Washington Boulevard, 8500 block, 12:16 a.m., July 21. Person with handgun entered Extended Stay Hotel, demanded money, fled. Nothing taken.

Washington Boulevard, 8000 block, 8:45 p.m., July 15. Man entered Red Roof Inn, threatened employee with handgun, demanded money, fled.

Savage/North Laurel

Scaggsville Road, between 6 p.m. July 11 and 1 p.m. July 13. Entry gained to home via unlocked garage. Dirt bike, clothing and equipment stolen.

Lilac Park Drive, 9100 block, 7:15 a.m., July 16. Three males gained entry to residence by claiming to be federal law enforcement officers looking for an individual. Nothing taken.

Traders Crossing, 9200 block, between 4:55 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. July 15. Entry gained to residence through unlocked window. Electronics, wallet and credit cards stolen.

Clarksville/Fulton

South Trotter Road, 6600 block, 6:58 p.m., July 18. Four juveniles entered Pointers Run Elementary School via open window. Nothing taken.

Lakeside Drive and Nichols Drive, 8:17 p.m., July 17. Dirt bike sellers met buyers through Craigslist. Two dirt bikes stolen.

Western County

Forsythe Road, 13100 block, between 4 p.m. July 11 and 7 a.m. July 15. Entry gained to St. Barnibas Church by kicking in rear door. Copper wire stolen.
