Accounting students at Howard Community College in Columbia are offering free tax filing services for community members and students.
Certified student volunteers with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program are available to prepare and file tax returns for those with annual incomes under $51,000. The program is being offered on campus every Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. through April 11, in Duncan Hall. The site will be closed April 3-4.
VITA student volunteers are also available to answer questions about the Facilitated Self-Assistance program for those with an annual income of less than $57,000.
