It was another season of dominance on the state stage for Howard County golf last fall, with the state individual champions for both the boys and girls coming from county schools. In addition, there were 12 county golfers that finished among the top 60 overall individually.
Mt. Hebron’s Patrick Hardy was among those leading the impressive showing, as he shot a two-day total of 166 at the University of Maryland golf course and completed a breakthrough junior campaign. Hardy ended up finishing in the top 10 at two postseason events, including earning fourth place at Districts, to earn himself first-team all-county honors.
As he gears up for his senior season, Hardy took some time to meet up with Sports Editor Brent Kennedy and discuss his technique for hitting irons and approach shots. To watch the video, click above.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
