IMPAQ International, a research, evaluation and technical assistance firm in Columbia, announced that it has been selected by the Howard County Public School System to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the schools’ data systems.

“We have a cross-functional team in place, including experts from IMPAQ’s education division, who will be taking a comprehensive look at how the HCPSS stores and organizes its data, how that information is transmitted and processed, who has access to it, the reporting processes in place and what checks exist to ensure the quality and accuracy of stored data,” Slava Katz, IMPAQ’s director of the technology solutions practice area, said in a news release last week.

IMPAQ is partnering with the educational technology firm ProActive School and educational consultant Karlene McCormick-Lee on the project.

The analysis is part of the school system’s department of technology’s multi-phased strategic review of the schools’ technology program.
