Howard County Police are searching for three men who invaded an east Columbia residence armed with handguns and stole prescription drugs.

Police said the incident occurred at 8:19 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at a residence located in the 8300 block of Tamar Drive.

Police said the three armed men, two of whom were masked, opened the unlocked front door, confronted the resident and one visitor, and demanded prescription medication.

Police said one of the men assaulted the visitor with the butt of his handgun, causing a facial laceration.

The three men then stole medication, a pair of Nike Blue Air Max sneakers and electronics, and fled.
