People can pick up items left in Columbia mall in wake of shooting

At a Sunday morning press conference, Howard County police said customers who were in the Mall in Columbia at the time of yesterday's fatal shootings can retrieve items left at common areas of the mall from noon to 5 p.m. at PNC Center, 30 Corporate Circle, Columbia, which is near the mall.

Those customers may also call 410-703-3302 for additional details.

Many items were left at the mall, particularly at the food court, as people quickly exited during the shooting incident, which resulted in the deaths of three people – one of them believed to be the shooter – and two others.

Howard County police said Brianna Benlolo, 21, of College Park and Tyler Johnson, 25, of Mount Airy, co-workers at the skate shop Zumiez, were killed shortly after 11 a.m. Satuday in the shooting.

On Sunday, police identified the alleged shooter as Darion Marcus Aguilar, 19, of College Park.
