Glenelg Country 5, Boys Latin 4
The Dragons finished off the regular season by defeating Boys Latin, 5-4, to finish second in the MIAA B Conference at 13-2 (16-2 overall).
Boys Latin jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first two innings. However, after a 65 minute thunder delay, Matt Campbell went to the mound and held Boys Latin to one hit and no runs over the next four innings, allowing the Dragons to chip away and eventually tie the game in the bottom of the sixth. Jack Dougherty kept the Lakers off the board. In the bottom of the seventh, after two quick outs, Max Godwin drew a walk and stole second base. Dylan Farnella then legged out an infield hit to move Godwin to third. Finally, Matt Campbell hit a walkoff single to plate Godwin for the win.
With its first place finish in the Red Division, Glenelg Country earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs. The Dragons will host the winner of Pallotti and Boys Latin on Monday, May 13.
