Ten Oaks Road Closure

This summer, SHA will close an approximately 1,000-foot section of Ten Oaks Road south of the intersection with West Linden Church Road. During the closure, crews will adjust the grade (slope) of the road to improve sight distance for the new intersection that will be created when West Linden Church Road is relocated from its current alignment, shown in the left foreground, to a new alignment about 150 feet to the south, shown here closed by construction barrels. The State Highway Administration is planning to close a 1,000-foot portion of Ten Oaks Road near Route 32 for six weeks this summer as workers install storm drain pipes and improve the road's sight lines.

According to a SHA news release, the closure, which will halt through-traffic south of West Linden Church Road, is scheduled to begin June 17.

An informational meeting on the project will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on May 28 at Dayton Oaks Elementary School, located at 4691 Ten Oaks Road, in Dayton.

At the meeting, project officials will be available to present the project, conduct one-on-one discussions and answer questions. Displays showing the project design, stages of construction and detour plans will also be available.

The project will also relocate West Linden Church Road 150 feet south and form a new T-intersection with Ten Oaks Road, and reconstruct the grade on 700 feet of Ten Oaks Road.

During the closure, traffic on Ten Oaks Road south will be directed to use the Route 108 interchange for access to Route 32.  The release states the closure is planned for the summer "when traffic volumes are lower and schools are closed."
