River Hill’s boys soccer team had a season to remember last fall, losing just once during the regular season and going on to win the program’s first regional title since 2007. Among the biggest keys along the way was goalie Tomas Potts, who was consistent all year before making a couple huge stops in penalty kicks in the region championship game to secure a victory over Mt. Hebron.
Potts finished the year with 53 saves and just 10 goals against for a River Hill team that finished the season 16-2.
Leading up to his junior season this fall, he took some time to go over his techniques as a goalie — particularly stopping breakaway chances — with sports editor Brent Kennedy. Click above to watch it.
