Maryland Public Television will highlight the Pointers Run Horseshoe Crab Program on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 7:30 p.m.

Led by teachers Eric Jayne and Christopher Brown, participating fifth grade students conducted experiments in the classroom to monitor crab health all through the school year. At the end of their studies, they released healthy crabs into the Chesapeake Bay.

Dayton Oaks Elementary Orchestra will perform its Winter Concert on Dec. 19 at 7 p.m.

"O Come, Ye Faithful" is an original cantata by Dave Foley to be presented at Linden-Linthicum United Methodist Church at the 10:30 a.m. service on Dec. 22. All are welcome.

On Christmas Eve, Dec. 24 Linden-Linthicum will host a family worship service at 4 p.m., a candlelight service at 7 p.m., a candlelight service with communion at 9 p.m. and a final Christmas Eve service at 11 p.m. with testimonies. You are welcome to attend.

Check with the church of your choice for other Christmas Eve services.

If your birthday falls in December or January, you may feel that your special day is at times overlooked. Carissa Gibbs became a lovely teenager on Dec. 5. She was always a lovely little girl, but now she is also a teen. Have a great time enjoying your teens, Carissa.

The University of Maryland and Delaware Cooperative Extension office aim to empower women in overall farm decision making and help build networks for anyone interested in farm management practices through a program called Annie's Project.
