"Recess," a special high-energy performance for the entire family by the U.S Army Field Band, will be presented at the Robinson Nature Center, 6692 Cedar Lane, on Friday, Aug. 9, from noon to 1 p.m.

"Recess" includes patriotic standards, Broadway favorites and classic children's sing-alongs. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The concert is free with an annual Robinson pass. There is a small daily admission fee to the center.

The Robinson Nature Center is a great place to take the kids and convenient to Clarksville. It's open Wednesdays through Sundays. Wednesday admission is complimentary. The annual pass is low cost. Because it is so convenient, you might even want to become a Friend of Robinson Nature Center for an additional $50 and enjoy additional benefits. Check it out.

Take advantage of the final free concerts of the summer series at River Hill shopping center in the common area. The Sidleys will perform R&B and rock music on Friday, Aug. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Invasion will provide British rock music on Aug. 16 for the final concert of the season.

Randy and Margaret Walton enjoyed meeting up with cousin Ann Ruppert for dinner in Laurel recently. They report that the Laurel Mall is completely gone. Nothing stays the same. Maybe that's the reason it's said, "You can't go home again." In Central Maryland home may be gone as everything seems to change constantly and rapidly.
