Howard CC prepares for 26th annual Grand Prix

Howard Community College is holding its 26th annual Columbia Classic Grand Prix Saturday, Sept. 21, at Marama Farm in Clarksville. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.

The event will feature world-class equestrians competing on a challenging course of obstacles, jumps, twists and turns. The event also includes exhibitions, pony rides, boutiques, a pumpkin patch, hay rides, a moon bounce and music from the band Misspent Youth.

For the first time this year, the event will include a classic and collector car show. Raffle tickets will also be on sale at the event, and the grand prize winner will choose between a 2014 Ford Mustang GT convertible, a Lincoln MKZ Luxury Sedan and a Ford Explorer SUV.

Proceeds from the event benefit the HCC Educational Foundation, a nonprofit that provides scholarships for HCC students.
