'Saturday Night at the Movies'
The Gary J. Arthur Community Center hosts a screening of "Monster House" (rated PG) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at 2400 Route 97 in Cooksville. Lisbon United Methodist Church will hold its semiannual Ham and Oyster Supper from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the church, 15875 Frederick Road in Lisbon. Food will be served family-style, and carry-out is available. The menu includes fried oysters, ham, green beans, corn, rolls, relishes, cole slaw, potato salad, Jell-O salad, ice tea and coffee. Sittercize The hourlong exercise program includes seated aerobics, stretching and strengthening drills, 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Cost is $36 for 18 classes.
Fit for Life exercises Participants do aerobics, strength training and abdominal work, 8:20 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. Fridays. $45 for 12 classes.
Painting and drawing A painting and drawing open studio will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays. Bring your own supplies. Free.
Hatha yoga Classes in this Indian system of physical postures and breathing will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. $45 for eight classes.
Silver Sneakers Walking Club The group is led by a staff member on an indoor track at 8:30 a.m. Mondays through Fridays. Everyone is invited.
Shoot pool Everyone is invited to shoot pool from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
