Special-needs festival

The Church of the Resurrection Men's Club sponsors a Fall Fun Festival for People with Special Needs from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in the church hall at 3165 Paulskirk Road. Benefit golf tourney

The Department of Recreation and Parks hosts its annual golf tournament beginning at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Troy Golf Course, 6100 Marshalee Drive in Elkridge. The event benefits the department's Step Up to Health fund used to develop recreational programs. There will be team awards, prizes for the longest drive, closest to the pin and holes-in-one at specially designed par-3 holes. The registration fee includes greens fees, golf carts, use of the driving range, awards, prizes and lunch. Tickets are $85 for individuals; $340 for a foursome. Information: 410-313-7275.
