English conversation The Miller branch of the Howard County Public Library, 9421 Frederick Road, offers "Let's Get Together: English Conversation Club," a chance for those for whom English is a second language to practice speaking and understanding English in a group setting. Diabetes awareness Craig Weinsweig of the Ellicott City Pharmacy will present the latest diabetes information, along with tips on managing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 18.

Monthly Bingo will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 23. Cost is $4.

Soccer registration

The coed Elkridge Youth Organization fall soccer program is accepting registrations for ages 4-18. No tryouts are required, and all players receive substantial playing time.
