'Mean Girls' A communication workshop for 11- to 14-year-old girls and their parents will be held at 6:30 p.m. at 10375 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia. Social worker Deborah West will discuss with the girls and their parents how to navigate the social spectrum and learn how to create a positive outcome when confronted with negative teen behavior. Children's event The Wilde Lake Community Association will hold its annual "Breakfast and More with Santa" at Slayton House, 10400 Cross Fox Lane in Columbia. Breakfast seating is at 9 a.m., and lunch seatings are offered at 11:30 a.m. Cartoons will be shown, and each child will get a private visit and photograph with Santa. The "Secret Shop" for children only will also be open, and Santa's elves will help any child who wants to buy inexpensive gifts for the family. Gift wrapping is free.
